Services in Detail:
Dispensing of NHS & Private Prescriptions: We dispense both NHS prescriptions and private prescriptions and will give advice on how to get the most benefit from your medicines. We keep a comprehensive stock of medicines to fill and deliver all prescriptions promptly.
We dispense private prescriptions at competitive prices for a range of treatments and health supplements.
Please note: all NHS prescription items are delivered free of charge. Freepost envelopes and Pharmacy Leaflets are available on reguest.
Repeat Dispensing: We can dispense NHS repeat dispensing prescriptions issued by your doctor. Call us for more information about this service.
Repeat Prescription Collection & Delivery: We offer a free repeat prescription collection and home delivery service. We can also help you manage the ordering of your medication. To use our free prescription collection and delivery service please contact the pharmacy.
Emergency Supplies: If you need any of your regular medicines in an emergency and are unable to contact your doctor, we may be able to help. We must stress that this can only be done in genuine emergencies and it may incur a charge.
Medicine Containers: All medicines where appropriate are dispensed in child resistant containers unless you request us not to. Please remember: Keep all medicines out of reach and sight of children. Our pharmacist can advise you on safe storage of medicines.
Disposal of unwanted or out-of-date medicines: Please contact the pharmacy by telephone (0117 971 66 70) or email (email@example.com) if you wish to return unwanted medicines so that appropriate arrangements can be made. We will dispose of them safely.
Medicine & Equipment Sales: We are able to supply a wide range of medicines and equipment for health maintenance such as Blood Pressure Monitors, Blood Glucose Meters, Weighing Scales, Pregnancy Testing Kits, etc. We can also order any product upon request at competitive prices.
Holiday Healthcare: We can advise on medical requirements for travellers, including anti-malaria treatments.
Patient Medical Records: Our computer allows us to keep records of all your prescriptions dispensed by us. This helps us check for possible problems, such as reactions between medicines and will help us deal with any queries you may have. We comply with the Data Protection Act and the NHS code of practice on confidentiality.
Electronic Prescription Transmission
The Pharmacy is fully ETP compliant and we can receive and process electronically generated prescriptions.
NHS and Private Flu Vaccinations
If you fall into one of the following high risk categories you're likely to be eligible for a free flu vaccination funded by the NHS which we can provide in store, please contact our pharmacist for more details.
High risk categories:
- You're over 65
- You have asthma or lung disease
- You have chronic heart disease
- You're diabetic
- You have a chronic kidney condition
- You have a chronic liver condition
- You've had a stroke
- You have an illness or are taking medicines that lower your natural defences
If you fall outside of the eligibility group you can still choose to get vaccinated against flu and help prevent this debilitating infection from spoiling your winter, we can provide this vaccination for just £10.

If you have any concerns or questions about your medication, either prescribed or purchased over the counter, we can help. You can speak with our pharmacist to discuss how you are getting on with your regular medicines. It will allow you to learn more about your medicines and ask any questions you may have, and if you are having difficulties taking your medicines our pharmacist may be able to assist.
Returning your Unwanted Medicines to this Pharmacy:

Contact your local council for advice on the safe disposal of products that we cannot accept from you.
Please note: Your old medicines will be incinerated and not reused or recycled in any way. By throwing your old medicines down the toilet you can affect the ecology of the water system. If everyone threw their old medicines down the toilet, the water system would become polluted by all the antibiotics, hormones and other drugs in your medicine cupboard. Please return all unwanted medicines to the pharmacy where we will dispose of them safely. Please speak to our pharmacist over the phone for further details.

Where did we do best?
We are proud to say that our patient satisfaction surveys have rated the pharmacy highly for a
quick response from our team in terms of getting their prescription delivered, providing advice on a current health problem or a longer term health condition, responding to their queries, listening to their needs and acting accordingly. Our customers were very impressed with the service received from our pharmacist & the staff members.
Where can we improve?
We intend to build on our relationship
with customers, patients and other healthcare professionals. Participating in public health campaigns, displaying related leaflets on our website and distributing to our customers, offering healthy lifestyle advice on healthy eating, physical activity, losing weight and stop smoking especially if they have diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, are a smoker or overweight.
Patient Satisfaction Survey undertaken during January-March 2018. This report is based on twenty three questionnaires completed by our customers.
